The Locanda del Fante Guest House in Rome occupies a building once the residence of the Marchese Ferrari and is conveniently located just on the north-eastern edge of the historical city centre - just a few moments in fact from the ancient city walls. This gives our guests the best of both worlds, with excellent transport connections, the touristic sights and monuments within walking distance and some of the city’s more genuine and down-to-earth places to eat and drink.
Particularly useful for business travellers, our Rome B&B is close to La Sapienza University, a clutch of embassies (the British Embassy is just five minutes away on foot) and Rome’s baking district, as well as parliament buildings.
We're also a few moments from Villa Borghese, the city’s most beautiful park, which contains the Borghese Gallery, a zoo and marine park, a boating lake, views across the city and vast expanses of green and trees just perfect in the warmer months for a picnic or wander around. Also very close is the iconic Via Veneto, where you’ll find Rome’s most prestigious hotels, bars and cafes! Don’t forget your credit card, you’re gonna need it!
From Fiumicino (FCO) Airport take the regional FL3 train to Tiburtina. Note - this is not the Leonardo Express train to Termini. From Tiburtina take the metro two stops to Castro Pretorio and walk from there or alternatively take a taxi for around €10 by day. From Ciampino (CIA) Airport several low-cost coach services operate taking you to Termini Station.Read More

As you can see from the map here, it’s then just a short walk along Viale Castro Pretorio, past the ancient city door of Porta Pia and then a left just before Piazza Fiume.Read More
